Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for an outpatient role requiring an active SC license and BLS (AHA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient position in a rural hospital-based physical therapy department
• Work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Treatment performed according to provider orders and in collaboration with staff and family as needed
• Involves patient evaluation, plan of care creation, and participation in staff meetings and educational sessions
• Supervises physical therapist assistants and participates in treatment team meetings
• Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly work areas and adhering to confidentiality policies
• Medical documentation must meet APTA standards of care
• Expected to attend departmental meetings and continuing education sessions
• Commitment to professional conduct, patient-centered care, and evidence-based practice is expected

Requirements

• Active South Carolina PT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient physical therapy experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Ability to perform and document thorough patient assessments and develop care plans
• Primary source license verification and copy of state licensure required
