Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL license.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in an outpatient physical therapy setting within an acute care hospital
• Day shifts available, either 5x8 or 4x10 hour shifts, primarily 8:00-16:30
• No weekend shifts required unless desired by the clinician
• Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs, including floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Level II Trauma Center with 372 staffed beds
• Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner charting experience is preferred
• No on-call requirement
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must complete a parking permit form during orientation; permits are provided at no cost
• Royal blue scrubs are required for this position
• Must be prepared to complete required modules virtually on the first day and lessons may recur annually
• Schedule requests should be discussed directly with the manager
• RTO of up to 5 days is auto-approved; more requires approval and at least 2 of 3 major holidays must be worked
• Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions

Requirements

• Current Illinois Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required; RQI cards not accepted
• At least 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in relevant settings is required, with exceptions considered
• Must provide date of birth and Social Security Number for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required
• Candidates who were permanent or PRN employees at Memorial must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
