Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center requiring at least 2 years of recent ER and trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department within a Level I Trauma Center
• Short term acute care patient population with high-acuity cases
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• On-call and weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment; if only 2, at least 1 is required
• RNs may rarely float to other campuses but generally remain within assigned facility
• Vaccination status must be disclosed for consideration
• Returning employees or former travelers must have a one-year separation before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers are not eligible unless possessing 3+ years of recent experience

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience; 3+ years preferred
• Level I trauma experience required
• At least one completed previous travel assignment required
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• ADN or higher nursing degree required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (strict radius rule applies)
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
