Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital Level II Trauma Center
• Outpatient physical therapy unit
• Four 10-hour day shifts, 7:00am to 5:30pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements unless preferred
• Candidates may float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Cerner charting system is used; position-specific experience required
• Royal blue scrubs are required as dress code
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• No weekend shifts required unless desired by the candidate
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if applicable
• Up to 5 days of requested time off are typically approved; additional RTO requires facility approval
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must have a 12 month separation before applying as a traveler
• Orientation includes a free parking permit and completion of necessary forms
• Compliance modules to be completed virtually on the first day and then annually

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• State licensure required (IL license must be in hand at consideration; license required if applicable)
• Must be able to float within scope of practice to other units or affiliate locations as needed
