Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg position in a 25-bed acute care setting requiring BLS, ACLS, NIH certification, and a KY or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 25-bed Med Surg Unit at a critical access hospital
• Acute care patient population with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Rotating 36/48 hour work weeks
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Bi-weekly orientation sessions provided
• Care for adult patients requiring medical-surgical nursing in an acute care environment
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• No local candidates accepted within a 100 mile radius
• Assignment requires consistent rotation of 36 and 48 hour work weeks

Requirements

• Active KY or compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute hospital experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
