Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring an OH or compact RN license and strong PCU/med-surg background.

Responsibilities

Work in a Progressive Care Unit with a patient ratio of 1:3-4
Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required
Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00 to 07:30
Travelers must float to different units within the organization as needed
Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required
Med-surg nurses will be considered if PCU experience is present
Responsibilities include caring for PCU patients and adapting to various units as needed
All candidates must complete fingerprinting as soon as possible after contract signing per Ohio regulations
RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at the time of application and built into the contract
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Former employees are eligible after a 6-month gap; current employees at Ohio State University hospitals are ineligible as travelers
Rotating holiday coverage is required

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand
Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or med-surg experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Two professional references required, one must be from a manager or formal leadership role
Previous travel experience preferred
