Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer with BLS and RVT or RVS certification for a variable shift assignment.

Responsibilities

Work in a vascular testing department at a large hospital and outpatient imaging center
Patient population includes both pediatric and adult cases
Variable scheduling with 40 hours per week
Possible rotation between main campus and outpatient imaging center
EMR system used is Cerner
Interview conducted by manager prior to offer
Not open to first-time travelers
Lead Tech and physician support available on unit
Dress code allows any solid professional color scrubs or facility-provided attire
Free parking provided
All requests for time off must be manager approved
Testing and orientation details will be discussed during interview

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience in vascular sonography
BLS and either RVT or RVS certification required
Must have experience with both pediatric and adult patients
Current compact or ME license required if applicable
At least 2 years total experience preferred
Flu vaccination required for start dates after 9/30/2024; only medical exemptions considered with approval
Applicants who have ever worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible
Permanent address must be at least 100 miles south or southwest of Bangor, ME
