Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer with BLS and RVT or RVS certification for a variable shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a vascular testing department at a large hospital and outpatient imaging center
- Patient population includes both pediatric and adult cases
- Variable scheduling with 40 hours per week
- Possible rotation between main campus and outpatient imaging center
- EMR system used is Cerner
- Interview conducted by manager prior to offer
- Not open to first-time travelers
- Lead Tech and physician support available on unit
- Dress code allows any solid professional color scrubs or facility-provided attire
- Free parking provided
- All requests for time off must be manager approved
- Testing and orientation details will be discussed during interview
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in vascular sonography
- BLS and either RVT or RVS certification required
- Must have experience with both pediatric and adult patients
- Current compact or ME license required if applicable
- At least 2 years total experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required for start dates after 9/30/2024; only medical exemptions considered with approval
- Applicants who have ever worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible
- Permanent address must be at least 100 miles south or southwest of Bangor, ME
