Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with CA licensure, BLS (AHA), and scrub and circulate experience for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital operating room setting
• Handles cases in Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology services
• Day shift schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:45–17:00, with rotating weekends
• Travelers may float to other CPMC locations if needed
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Provide direct and indirect perioperative nursing care including assessment, plan of care implementation, and patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication with patients and families
• Complete required orientation modules via e-learning
• Only one holiday request off will be approved during the contract
• Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided during onboarding
• Locals are accepted at a lower rate

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac cases required
• Experience with scrub and circulate roles required
• Experience in Hepatobiliary, Robotic, Spine, and Ophthalmology procedures preferred
• Must have all certifications in hand at time of consideration
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the offer
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for consideration as a traveler
• Return staff must be gone at least 1 year to be eligible
