Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Nevada requiring a NV RN license and proficiency in advanced critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department at multiple locations as needed in the Reno and Sparks, NV area
• Responsible for care of urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, critical care, and trauma patients
• 12-hour night shifts with variable days and shift locations based on department needs
• No on-call required, but on-call open shifts may be picked up voluntarily
• Cerner EMR system experience required
• Manage critical care interventions including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass blood transfusions, and chest tubes
• Coordinate and deliver complex nursing care to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes
• Required to submit two professional references, with at least one from the most recent employer
• ED team environment with a focus on high acuity patient care
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation required

Requirements

• Active NV RN license with no pending status
• Minimum 2 years recent ER experience in a United States hospital
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI (AHA only)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
• Must provide proof of US Social Security Number
