Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility assignment requiring a BSN and ND or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a long term care/skilled nursing facility setting
66-bed facility with a patient ratio of 22-25:1, currently experiencing low census
Post-acute care with common diagnoses including CHF, dementia, diabetes, CKD, COPD, dysphagia with peg tubes, urinary retention with foley catheters, and wounds
Uses the PCC electronic medical record system
12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required
Scheduled to work every other holiday
Must follow another nurse for one shift during location-specific orientation
Work closely with a team to provide nursing care for residents with chronic and acute conditions
Adhere to facility policies regarding staffing and scheduling
No on-call or call back requirements
Local candidates within 80 miles receive local rates
Dress code or scrub requirements will be provided during orientation

Requirements

Active ND or compact RN license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
Experience with post-acute long term care or skilled nursing preferred
