Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring an OH or compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with estimated patient ratios of 1:3-4
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required
• Travelers may be required to float to different units within the health system as needed
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• Must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting after contract signing
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and included in the contract
• Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
• Floating to other units is required based on facility needs
• Responsibilities include caring for PCU patients and supporting unit needs

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Completion of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• At least two professional references, including one from a supervisor or manager
• Former employees must have at least 6 months separation to be eligible for consideration
• Current employees of the health system are not eligible for this travel assignment
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
