Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro/Surgical ICU night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient population includes neurological and surgical ICU cases
• EPIC EMR is utilized and prior experience is required
• No local candidates accepted from specified counties within a 50 mile radius
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Competency testing for ICU is required with two attempts to pass
• More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination; make up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Travelers may only apply to one position at a time
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• RTO must be requested at the time of application
• Submission requires supporting documentation including clinical interview form, skills checklist, references, nursing license verification, and proof of certifications

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in the specialty required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must provide a complete work history with no employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation from a licensed medical professional
• Valid US Social Security Number is required
