Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a part-time Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with RDCS or ARDMS certification and 1+ years of echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient cardiac provider setting
• Shifts are Wednesday through Friday with 24 or 30 hours per week based on candidate availability
• Shift options include 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (30 hours) or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (24 hours)
• Performs routine echocardiograms to assess cardiac function and structure
• Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation
• Responsibilities include performing echocardiograms, maintaining equipment, reviewing charts, communicating findings to cardiologists, and assisting with protocols and workflows
• Must assist staff and physicians as needed within the scope of the role
• Parking is not validated and public parking fees apply
• Epic EMR experience is beneficial
• Local candidates within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital will receive a reduced rate
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• RDCS or ARDMS certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum of 1 year echocardiogram experience preferred
• MA license required if applicable; no pending licenses accepted
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions allowed
