Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a GA or compact RN license and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an adult to geriatric Telemetry unit
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and vascular issues
• Patient ratio is 1:4-5 in a 16-room unit
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) from 7:00 to 19:00 with every other weekend required
• Use of Epic (EMR required), Pyxis, and SBAR
• Floating may be required
• No call requirements
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed, with RTO not permitted the first week and required at time of submission
• Travelers expected to work major holidays falling within the assignment according to facility policy
• Full compliance with documentation and orientation modules required to start on time
• Travel pairs are not permitted to have the same shift on the same unit
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide two supervisory references, with at least one being a manager or above
• Applicants must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year if previously employed
