Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with an active OH or compact license, Epic experience, and required certifications for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• Patient care for critically ill adults in an ICU environment
• Uses Epic EMR; prior experience with Epic is required
• Responsible for providing advanced care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• All staff must adhere to a 100% tobacco-free policy with no smoking or tobacco use on site
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free hiring requirements but all other travelers must comply
• Permanent and per diem candidates must wait one year before returning to the hospital
• Copies of required certifications must be submitted and active prior to consideration
• Locals are accepted under the same conditions as travelers

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• A minimum of 18 months ICU RN experience required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two supervisory references in ICU nursing required for consideration
• Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen within 12 months of start
• No open background or license cases accepted
