Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a valid OH or compact RN license, tele monitoring skills, and Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Requires floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Telemetry monitoring of patients is required
• Epic EMR system experience is required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly after contract signing
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Former employees are eligible if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
• Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of application and built into the contract
• Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must possess a V Cert
• Ability to start IVs, administer medications, monitor labs, and provide patient education
• Must be able to pass a telemetry test
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Experience in monitoring telemetry patients is required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
