Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience, Illinois OT license, and Epic EMR proficiency for a day shift hospital position.

Responsibilities

Acute care setting covering patients of all ages
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM
Department specializes in therapy for a diverse inpatient population
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Epic EMR charting required
Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan in a hospital environment
Develop and implement individualized plans of care, adjusting interventions as appropriate
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic goals and progress
Supervise COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory agencies
Collaborate regularly with the interdisciplinary medical team on patient care and discharge planning
Ensure all clinical documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards
Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed per 13 week contract
No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from facility
Returning travelers must take a 6-month break after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning

Requirements

Current Occupational Therapist license from Illinois required if applicable
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
Minimum 1 year of relevant acute care experience required
BLS certification required
Demonstrated experience with Epic EMR
Must have Level 1 Trauma experience
