Job Description

American Traveler is seeking experienced ER RNs for night shifts in a dynamic, full-spectrum emergency department, requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital emergency department with a full-spectrum patient population
• Patient population includes all ages, predominantly adults, with occasional pediatric patients
• Includes care for a locked behavioral health unit with a 12-bed capacity
• High-acuity, fast-paced work environment
• Night shift position with 4x12 hour shifts (6:45PM to 7:15AM), preference for candidates open to 48-hour work weeks
• Candidates may occasionally care for pediatric patients; nearby Level 1 pediatric trauma center available
• Provide nursing care in a diverse ED environment including behavioral health
• Collaborate in a caring, community-oriented hospital with a supportive team culture
• Travelers are paid for time spent on required e-learning modules
• Return staff policy requires a 1 year gap since previous employment
• Accepted local candidates offered the same pay rate as travelers
• All requested time off must be declared during the initial application
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided prior to start

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; emergency or pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and PALS required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department RN experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• On-site CPI training provided
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required
