Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and recent perioperative experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at a pain clinic setting
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, 8-hour day shifts
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call responsibilities
- Must be able to work either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Perm staff returning as travelers must have a 2 year break before assignment
- Requests for time off must be submitted up front and are not allowed after offer is accepted
Requirements
- Active GA or compact state RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years PACU or perioperative nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficient IV insertion skills
- Recent pre-op or post-op clinical experience required
