Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a CT or compact RN license and three years of cardiac ICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiothoracic ICU (CVICU) at a short term acute care Level I Trauma Center
- High acuity cardiac patient population with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Swan-Ganz monitoring proficiency required
- Utilizes Epic charting system
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00), every other weekend required
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- Provide expert critical care to high-acuity cardiac patients in a team setting
- Four hours of pre-start online modules must be completed before starting
- Return staff must have a minimum two-year gap since last employment at the facility
- Requests for time off exceeding seven days require approval
- Monthly parking fee applies
- Holiday coverage may be required
Requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license, or eligibility and willingness to obtain prior to start
- Minimum 3 years of cardiac ICU experience required
- At least 1 year of Level I trauma center experience required
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience with swan-ganz monitoring required
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless approved for religious or medical exemption
- First-time travelers accepted if possessing cardiothoracic ICU and/or critical care experience
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
