Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an ICU position requiring at least one year of ICU experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital ICU unit
• Day shifts are 12 hours, three days per week
• Care provided to critically ill adult patients
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
• Potential on-call requirements during scheduled shifts
• Responsible for performing independent nursing and delegated medical functions in line with state Board of Nursing standards
• Duties include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the ICU
• May be expected to provide patient education, counseling, and coordination of care
• Candidates must be able to document care according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Background check and drug screen must be completed at least two weeks before start
• Scrub color or dress code requirements not specified
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role

Requirements

• Active MT or compact RN license
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school required
• Minimum of 1 year recent ICU RN experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA required
• All certifications must be valid through the start date
• Epic EMR experience required
