Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department position requiring a WI or compact RN license and recent ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes acute care and emergency cases
• Shift is 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
• Every other weekend or as needed by the department, with rotating holidays
• May be required to float onsite within your skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Must be able to respond to departmental needs including floating and working holidays
• All candidates must have two separate references and a valid driver’s license for consideration
• Radius rule applies for local candidates, with local pay rates enforced as applicable

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC required and must be current
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• MOAB or CPI non-violent crisis intervention training (8-hour course, renewed every 2 years)
• Ability to provide primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address
