Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and proficiency in Epic EMR for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a short-term acute care hospital setting with a patient ratio of 1:1
- Responsible for echocardiography procedures as part of a multidisciplinary cardiology team
- Day shifts (4x10 hours) from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotational on-call required: one weekday every two weeks and one weekend every 4-6 weekends
- Weekend coverage and block scheduling required
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals nearby as needed
- Use of Epic charting system is required
- Role includes performing echocardiograms in collaboration with the cardiac care team
- Must commit to working at least 3 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
- Scrub attire can be any color
- Modules and training are required to be completed prior to start and annually
- Minimal to no time off is preferred; RTO requests may delay the hiring process
- First-time travelers are accepted
- No parking fees for staff
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer
- Current applicable state licensure required if applicable
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Must provide two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last three years
- Must have a vehicle for travel between facilities
- Must meet 50-mile radius rule for eligibility
- Returning employees must have at least a 3-month gap from prior employment
