Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Michigan, requiring a current MI RN license and proficiency with Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Position involves care for a diverse population of emergency patients
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am with three shifts per week
• Every other weekend shift is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• Primary responsibilities include coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate emergency care using the nursing process
• Must communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Online modules are typically completed onsite 1 week prior to start date
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• One week of requested time off is allowed
• Must be available for at least one holiday
• Background check and drug screen must be completed promptly after commitment

Requirements

• Active MI RN license is required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required
• Minimum of 2 years' recent Emergency Department experience is required
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• PALS and TNCC certifications are preferred
• Completion of online modules with a passing score prior to start is required
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
