Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of experience and active ARRT and state licensure for night shifts in a Level I Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center
• General radiography in the Emergency Department and inpatient portable imaging
• Serve both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Use Fuji ER equipment and Carestream portable x-ray units
• Night shifts (5x8s) from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, with every other weekend required
• Alternating weekly schedule: Week 1 (Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun), Week 2 (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun)
• Variable daily caseload based on ER and inpatient needs
• No on-call requirements
• General radiography responsibilities include performing x-rays in emergency and inpatient settings as needed
• Must be able to function independently during night shifts
• First-time travelers accepted
• Teal scrubs required
• Block scheduling requests may be accommodated
• Return staff must be gone 2 years to be considered as travelers
• Pre-start and annual modules (1 hour for allied) must be completed
• RTO exceeding 7 days requires advance approval
• Parking available at a cost

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiology Technologist in a trauma center or large acute care facility
• Active ARRT and state licensures required; pending state license accepted if active before start date
• Must be able to work independently in emergency and inpatient portable settings
• Fluoroscopy permit and proficiency with Fuji ER and Carestream equipment preferred
• Experience with both pediatric and adult populations required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required; only religious or medical exemptions accepted
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility for travel consideration
• One professional reference required
• License required if applicable
