Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced FHM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery department of a hospital setting
• 11-bed unit, including 3 triage beds
• Average of 3 births per day with a low cesarean section rate
• Responsible for laboring patients, triage, deliveries (vaginal and C/Sec), tubal ligations, cerclages, and epidural holds
• Common equipment includes fetal monitors, IUPC, and FSE cables
• Uses Meditech EMR; Meditech experience preferred
• 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915
• Provide comprehensive mother and newborn care in a collaborative team environment
• Both weekday and weekend coverage may be required
• Must complete required CMS Compliance Program training within 90 days of hire
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required; EMSA not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced FHM certifications required
• Flu and COVID vaccinations required; medical or religious exemptions accepted
