Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night-shift ICU position requiring an active NC or compact license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Provides care to adult patients with complex and critical conditions
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three nights per week
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Responsible for delivering competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process
• Participates in interdisciplinary team discussions for evaluation of patient care
• Performs bedside point of care testing as needed
• Expected to educate and assess readiness to learn for patients and families
• Must report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
• All background check and documentation requirements must be met by firm deadlines
• Promotes a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment

Requirements

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN
