Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a NY license and EPIC experience for a Critical Care Float Pool night position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Critical Care Float Pool across multiple ICU units in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Floating required among all critical care units, including Neuro and Surgical ICUs
• Utilizes EPIC EMR, and prior EPIC experience is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Float among various ICU units providing critical care coverage as needed
• Travelers must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington Counties of NY
• No local candidates from the specified counties within a 50-mile radius will be considered
• Request for time off (RTO) must be submitted with application
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks from the last call out
• Travel pairs are not allowed
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per department needs
• Completion of a clinical interview form is required prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI required (such as BLS, ACLS as applicable)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the last 12 months
• U.S. SSN required for consideration; no Canadian SIN accepted
• Must complete ICU competency testing with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Only medical exemptions for the flu vaccine, signed by a licensed professional, are accepted
