Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with EPIC proficiency and at least two years of recent ER experience for night shifts.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital
Typical patient ratio is 1:4
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
Weekend shifts are required as needed
Block scheduling is available
No on-call requirements
Epic charting system is used and prior experience with Epic is required
Scrubs are provided and any color is acceptable
No floating within the facility, but floating to nearby sister facilities may be required
Travelers must be willing to float to sister facilities in the region as needed
Holiday coverage is required; must commit to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Pre-assignment learning modules are required and must be completed before the start date
All time off requests or scheduling requirements must be declared during application
Free parking is available at the facility

Requirements

Active OR RN license or proof of application for license
Minimum of two years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
Prior experience with Epic EMR system required
References from two supervisory nurses covering at least one year within the past three years are required
Must have a personal vehicle for assignment
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility for travel pay eligibility
Former permanent staff must be separated from facility employment for at least three months before returning as a traveler
