Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in New Jersey with night shifts and specialized certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
• Circulate and recover OB surgical patients
• 3x12 hour night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend is required
• No floating or on-call responsibilities
• Must be familiar with natural and C-section deliveries
• May be scheduled for one summer and one winter holiday
• Responsible for comprehensive care throughout the obstetric process, including labor, delivery, and recovery
• Blocked scheduling will not be considered
• No travel pairs accepted
• Parking available for $50/month and ID badge is $10
• Must provide proof of required certifications for consideration
• Candidates living within 50 miles are accepted at a lower rate
• Nail polish designs should not be distracting and nails must be kept clean and short

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, IV Certification
• Certification in Fetal Monitoring required (AWHONN or NCC EFM)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Compliance with acrylic/artificial nail policies and professional appearance standards
