Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and a current CA State Mammography License or ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Work in a mammography unit performing routine and specialized breast procedures, including biopsies and needle localizations
Utilize Epic charting system; Epic experience is preferred
Adult female patient population
Setting is an outpatient clinic
May perform specific procedures and orient other staff as needed
Competently perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment
Exercise independent clinical judgment to safely and precisely perform procedures
Deliver compassionate care and effective communication to patients and their families
Adhere to all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines in patient care
Modules and orientation are provided via e-learning, with hours varying by specialty
Only one holiday time off request will be approved during the contract
Candidates must disclose any background issues prior to consideration
References from the past year are required for consideration

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent mammography experience required
Current CA State Mammography License or ARRT certification
CRT, RHM, and BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certifications required
License required if applicable
Experience with Epic charting preferred
Must be able to comply with a 50-mile radius rule for travel candidates
Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
Return staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
