Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for an acute care hospital assignment, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and the ability to float between units.
Responsibilities
- Work in a short-term acute care hospital with a Level III Trauma Center designation
- Assignment is in the acute care/rehabilitation unit with potential to float between departments
- Caseload is typically 6-8 treatments per day
- Day shifts are scheduled from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekend rotation among 2-3 SLPs
- Epic EMR experience is required
- SLP will evaluate, treat, and manage a variety of speech and swallowing disorders in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- All travelers are required to float within the facility as needed
- Scrubs of any color are permitted
- No on-call requirement
- Parking is free
- Minimal to no RTO; all requested time off must be disclosed and approved prior to assignment
- Former staff must wait a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside of a 50 mile radius
Requirements
- Active and valid WA or Compact SLP license required if applicable
- At least 1 year of acute care SLP experience required
- Independent, quick learner with prior IPR experience preferred
- MBS and FEE's training preferred
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years are required
- COVID and Flu vaccination documentation required
