Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with BLS certification to work night shifts and care for inpatient oncology and general med/surg patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital on a Medical Surgical unit
• Care for inpatient oncology and general medical-surgical patients
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting is done using Paragon EMR
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Responsible for providing nursing care to med/surg and oncology patients
• Free parking available on site
• RTO is considered on a case-by-case basis
• Block scheduling is not available
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• References must be provided for consideration
• Not accepting candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
