Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a LDRP unit requiring trauma experience and a NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Position is in a LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) hospital unit
Unit features 21 rooms, a 2-bed triage area, and 2 operating rooms
Approximately 1300 deliveries are performed annually
Adheres to AWHONN staffing guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Shifts are either rotating days/nights or nights
8-week contract assignments available
No local candidates permitted within a 75-mile radius
Must manage labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care responsibilities
Nurse-to-patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines including 1:1 for active labor and high-risk medications
Position does not accept local candidates within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

Active NH or compact state RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years required
Competency and experience in all areas of the LDRP model necessary
