Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a PACU position requiring an active GA or compact RN license and at least 18 months of recent PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a hospital setting
• Works primarily with post-anesthesia surgical patients
• Assignment is for 13 weeks with 10-hour PM shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• Position involves providing immediate post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
• Time off (RTO) is capped at 5 days during the contract, or 3 days if the time off falls on or near a holiday
• Only 1 holiday request is permitted per assignment
• Multiple days of RTO clustered around holidays will not be approved
• Returning travelers must include the last 5 digits of their SSN in required forms

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required and must be in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience, ideally in PACU or post-anesthesia care
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, and 18 months if returning to the same facility
