Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring Epic experience and a NH or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill adult patients with medical emergencies, post-surgical cases, respiratory failure, sepsis, and stroke cases
• Some pediatric critical care cases may be managed for stabilization prior to transfer if needed
• Shift is 12-hour days from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• Every third weekend is required
• Assignment length is 8 weeks
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience is required
• Responsibilities include managing critical care interventions and collaborating with intensivists and hospitalists
• Acute stroke cases managed in conjunction with telestroke and tele/neurology services
• Pass/fail competency tests in Tele/ECG and medication required
• Dress code or scrub color requirements are not specified
• Time off requests must be listed for consideration
• Returning employees must meet facility break period policy

Requirements

• Active NH or compact state RN license required
• Current AHA certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years' ICU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
• Must have a 6-month break from any prior employment at Beth Israel Lahey Health facilities before returning
• COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
