Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool position in Massachusetts requiring Epic and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in the Nursing Float Pool caring for medical-surgical telemetry patients
Float between multiple hospital units as needed, including possible assignments at a nearby hospital
Typical schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts
EHR system used is Epic, and proficiency is required
Eight-week contract assignment
Responsibilities include providing care to a variety of med-surg and telemetry patients across different hospital units
Candidates must be open to floating to nearby affiliated hospitals as urgent needs arise
Testing will be administered on arrival, and passing is required to start
Applicants must be prepared to complete hospital-specific onboarding modules
Medical exemptions are permitted for mandatory vaccinations
First-time travelers are not specifically restricted from applying

Requirements

Active MA RN license required at the time of consideration (will accept pending license during initial review)
Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
Epic EMR experience required
COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as Flu vaccine, required (medical exemptions permitted)
Must pass Tele/ECG and medication tests during orientation and onboarding
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local applicants are not eligible
Returning employees must have a six-month break from any prior employment with the health system
