Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a float pool setting, requiring a MA license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Nursing Float Pool covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Hospital setting with patient populations typical of medical-surgical and telemetry care
• 12-hour night shifts required
• Contract assignment is 4 weeks in length
• Must be open to floating to additional locations as needed
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings, adapting to different units as needed
• May be required to work at multiple hospital locations within the health system
• Day one and onboarding testing are required as part of orientation
• Medical exemptions are allowed for required vaccines
• Parking fees may apply depending on location

Requirements

• Active MA RN license is required; pending license will be considered at time of application
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• Must pass a day one tele/ECG and medication test with one attempt
• Must pass Relias testing during onboarding (up to 2 attempts)
• Proof of COVID vaccination (including booster) and flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions considered
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• A 6-month break required for previous employees or travelers of the health system before returning
