Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a MA RN license, Epic experience, and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital float pool, covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Primarily cares for adult Med/Surg and telemetry patients
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience is required and will be used daily
• No call requirement
• No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Must float to all required units as determined by facility needs
• Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, recognizing cardiac issues, ventilator management, and medication administration
• One orientation provided per month
• No time off requests will be considered during the contract
• Scrub/dress code policies provided by facility
• Parking may incur a daily charge

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand is required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2-3 years of related Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Experience in ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience is mandatory
• Must pass ECG/telemetry and medication tests on day one orientation
• COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed)
• Previous employees (Travel, Perm, Per Diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
