Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Float Pool, requiring an active NY RN license and strong Epic EMR skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Critical Care Float Pool
• Day shift schedule, 07:00 to 19:00
• Floating is required across critical care units, including neuro and surgical ICUs
• Patient population includes high-acuity ICU cases
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is mandatory
• No blocked scheduling is allowed
• Medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is required if unable to receive flu vaccine; personal or religious exemptions are not accepted
• Candidates who live within the listed counties or within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible
• RTO must be requested during the application process
• More than 3 call outs during a 13-week contract may result in termination; make-up shifts are required within 6 weeks
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
• Candidates may only be considered for one position at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in critical care
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required
• Must complete ICU competency testing with up to 2 attempts
