Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and previous ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Patient acuity ranges from minor illnesses to critical emergencies
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
• Performs independent nursing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality emergency care
• May be required to take on-call assignments during regularly scheduled shifts
• Required to document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Expected to uphold the mission, vision, and service standards of the health system

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state required prior to consideration
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least an ASN
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required for Emergency Department practice
• Experience with Epic charting system
