Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CA-licensed RN with recent Epic experience for a night shift ICU/Step-Down position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 19-bed mixed ICU with float to a step-down PMCU unit as needed
• Patient population includes neuro, medical, trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic cases
• Step-down unit operates with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Epic EMR system used; recent Epic experience required
• Role includes floating between ICU and step-down units based on facility needs
• Team handles multiple specialties and complex cases
• No COVID-19 vaccine requirement stated
• Internal guidelines require adherence to the specified assignment start date

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years current ICU or step-down experience
• Certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Recent experience with Epic EMR, able to pass Epic pre-assessment
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
