Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU/Step-Down RN with a current CA license and Epic experience for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 19 bed mixed ICU and step-down (PMCU) unit
• Specialties include neuro, medical, trauma, vascular, and cardiothoracic patients
• Day shift schedule from 0700 to 1900
• Patient ratio is 3:1 in the step-down unit
• Floating between ICU and step-down unit as needed
• Uses Epic EMR and recent experience with Epic is required
• Must complete and pass Epic pre-assessment test
• Providing care to a diverse ICU patient population including neuro, trauma, and cardiothoracic cases
• Candidates must be available to start within 2 weeks of the requested start date
• Up to 36 hours of call-off may occur during the assignment at no cost to the facility

Requirements

• Active and current CA RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU or step-down experience
• Certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience within the last year
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
