Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring comprehensive L&D and postpartum experience with night shifts and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Care for laboring mothers and postpartum patients per department standards
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend work required, minimum every other weekend or at least 8 weekend shifts
• Floating may occur within scope to low-risk family birthing units, including the northern campus
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic experience preferred
• Main duties include providing nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Work as part of a team with resource and break RNs available for support
• Must be able to float to other related family birthing units as needed
• Candidate attire should comply with hospital requirements
• Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past two years

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required at time of consideration
• At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery and postpartum nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• Must meet AWHONN staffing standards and be comfortable working alongside break and resource RNs
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Candidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; proof of address required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off accepted
