Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro/Ortho night position requiring BLS, NIHSS, and a KY or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Medical Surgical Neuro/Ortho unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are 1:6
• Night shifts available, with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options
• Weekend requirements will be discussed during the interview
• On-call rotation is required
• Floating may be required based on clinical experience
• Uses Meditech EMR; experience preferred but not required
• Provide care to neuro and orthopedic medical-surgical patients
• First-time travelers accepted with strong Ortho/Neuro experience
• Must be willing to work during the weeks of major holidays; multiple holiday RTO is not accepted
• Candidates may undergo an on-site drug screening on the first day
• Block scheduling may be accommodated when possible

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required and compliant with NLC guidelines
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Neuro/Ortho experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required at time of consideration
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions permitted
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 65-mile radius from the facility; local travelers not accepted
