Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN with at least two years of large hospital ER experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Room of a large hospital environment
• 23-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population
• Evening/night shift from 15:00 to 03:00
• Rotating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week
• 13-week assignment
• ER nurses must be prepared to manage a wide range of emergency cases
• Orientation is provided bi-weekly unless otherwise noted
• Previous travel experience is preferred
• Scrubs or dress code requirements are not specified
• Travel pairs are not permitted unless there is a unit exception
• Local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not accepted

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency department experience in a large hospital setting
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute Blue Card)
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Reliable transportation required due to limited ride share options in the area
