Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least one year of recent oncology experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute oncology unit within a hospital setting
Primary patient population includes medical-surgical oncology patients
Night shifts with 12-hour rotations and 36 hours per week
May require floating to other departments within scope of competency
EMR system used is Epic
Perform independent and delegated nursing functions in accordance with state and hospital guidelines
Implement and evaluate patient care plans, assess health data, and provide education and counseling
May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
Use of Epic charting for all patient documentation
May be required to float to other units when necessary

Requirements

Active MT or compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in oncology nursing
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN required
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
All certifications must not expire before the assignment start date
No pending licenses accepted
