Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring at least one year of recent oncology experience and an active MT or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Primary patient population includes medical-surgical oncology patients
- Night shifts with 12-hour rotations and 36 hours per week
- May require floating to other departments within scope of competency
- EMR system used is Epic
- Perform independent and delegated nursing functions in accordance with state and hospital guidelines
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans, assess health data, and provide education and counseling
- May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
- Use of Epic charting for all patient documentation
- May be required to float to other units when necessary
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in oncology nursing
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN required
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- All certifications must not expire before the assignment start date
- No pending licenses accepted
