Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position with required neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics experience, as well as Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Operating Room setting treating a range of surgical patients including neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics cases
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 0700 to 1930
• On-call required 1-2 times per week Monday through Thursday, beginning after scheduled shift
• Two weekend call shifts required every 6 weeks, starting Friday evening through Monday morning
• Care for COVID-19 patients as needed
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation
• Position may involve caring for patients with COVID-19
• Candidates must be able to work one of two major upcoming holidays; no time off will be approved around Christmas and New Year's
• The facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
• Pre-employment modules (5-6 hours) must be completed prior to start
• Holiday coverage involves being on call as needed per department requirements

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required with no license action or restriction
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Experience with neuro, trauma, orthopedics, and robotics procedures required
• Familiarity and experience with Epic charting required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
