Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU expertise and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in a hospital setting
• Night shifts are scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Weekday and some weekend shifts are required with up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Rotating holiday coverage is required
• Patient ratios are 1:1 to 1:2
• Floating to units of equal or lower acuity is required
• No call required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• RNs provide specialized care for critically ill cardiac patients and monitor advanced equipment such as Swan-Ganz catheters and balloon pumps
• Timely completion of Ohio fingerprinting is required shortly after contract signing
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Assignment covers holidays on a rotating basis
• First-time travelers will be considered if all requirements are met

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required
• Two years of recent cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and pulmonary artery lines
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Submission requires two professional references, including at least one supervisor or manager
• Former employees eligible if separated from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are not eligible for travel assignments at this facility
