Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and recent MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital environment
• Night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Typical patient ratio is 1:4
• Care for adult patients requiring med/surg and telemetry monitoring
• Epic charting experience is required
• Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, patient teaching, and general med/surg tele nursing duties
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Time off must be requested at time of application to be considered
• Urgent fingerprinting process must be completed promptly for credentialing
• Comprehensive patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Ability to perform IV starts, labs, patient monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, one from a supervisor or manager
• Former employees eligible if at least 6 months have passed since last employment
• Current employees of Ohio State University hospitals are not eligible
